| Labor Standards Database |
In a book published by the Upjohn Institute
entitled Labor Standards in the United States and Canada, Richard N. Block, Karen Roberts, and R. Oliver Clarke develop and implement measures for ten key labor standards. Their efforts produce discernible results on
the differences in these standards across 63 jurisdictions while moving the debate about international labor standards away
from one based on intangibles to one based on statistical analysis and results.
The Labor Standards Database allows anyone to adjust, as they see fit, the measures applied by the authors to their data on labor standards in the United States and Canada. After weighting the measures you may then generate a table showing results for all the standards and all the jurisdictions. The authors hope that this database will be used by researchers to imporve and refine their labor standard measures. Enter the database. |
