<b>Wei-Jang Huang</b> Wei-Jang Huang

Ms. Huang carries out large-scale data analyses that address many labor market policy issues, including analyses of economic development and employment training programs, and has extensive experience working with most government published public use data sets, major survey samples, and large administrative data bases at different levels. Her most recent projects include workforce development performance target adjustment with U.S. DOL and the evaluation Kalamazoo Promise.

<b>Kenneth Kline</b> Kenneth Kline

Ken is an expert in the use and meaning of large, government data sets, including the Bureau of Labor Statistics Current Population Survey (CPS) and Earnings Micro Data File (Outgoing Rotations), as well as state-wide administrative data systems in Michigan, Georgia, Ohio and Washington dealing with Unemployment Insurance (UI), the Employment Service (ES, Wagner-Peyser), employer (ES202) and individual wage records, the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).

<b>Brian Pittelko</b> Brian Pittelko

Brian Pittelko works with public data such as the American Community Survey and Quarterly Workforce Indicators. He has contributed to community indicator reports and has worked on various projects for the early childhood education community in Kalamazoo. Mr. Pittelko is also a regular writer for the Upjohn Institute Blog.

Mr. Preuss has nearly 10 years’ experience in the construction and analysis of economic and administrative data sets for job training program evaluation projects. These studies have required integrating administration data such as wage records with local evaluation data to do impact analysis.

<b>Bridget Timmeney</b> Bridget Timmeney

Ms. Timmeney assists with business and community alignment related to workforce development and the Kalamazoo Promise. She also conducts research related to workplace literacy programs and developing community benchmark indicators, and she recently developed a baseline indicator system to measure the social and economic impacts of a rural casino. Her responsibilities have included contract management, program monitoring, and program evaluation of federal and state workforce development programs.

<b>Lillian Vesic-Petrovic</b> Lillian Vesic-Petrovic

Vesic-Petrovic provides statistical analysis on projects concerning employment and compensation data such as nonstandard work arrangements, temporary employment and pension and retirement policies. Other projects concern global issues such as outsourcing, offshoring and transition economies.

<b>Brad Watts</b> Brad Watts

Watts’ responsibilities range from conducting research and analysis on regional economic and employment issues to preparing regional economic impact studies, and evaluating local development efforts. He also co-authors Business Outlook for West Michigan, the Institute’s quarterly report examining the economic conditions and performance of metropolitan areas in west Michigan.
